You can read this policy without creating an account or signing in. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the application.

008Hub helps local businesses, such as salons, grocery stores, restaurants, food and dining businesses, beauty salons, and other local businesses, offer digital rewards and customer engagement. Businesses can create rewards programmes, offers, coupons, and promotional content. Customers can discover participating businesses, view promotions, earn rewards based on eligible purchases or visits, and redeem available rewards.

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use 008Hub. We collect information you provide, information created when you use rewards, offers, and coupons, and limited technical information needed to operate the application.

• Account information, such as sign-in details and the type of account you use
• Business information submitted by a participating business, such as the business name, description, contact details, and other details the business chooses to publish
• Information you submit, including messages to customer support and details you enter in forms

Information from your use of the application

• Device information, such as device type, operating system, and app version
• App usage information, such as features you use and general activity needed to provide the service
• IP address and technical information used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the application and website
• Reward, coupon, and offer activity, including rewards earned, balances, redemptions, and coupons or offers you view or use

If you choose to share location information, or if a business publishes its location, we may use that information to help customers find participating businesses. This policy does not mean the application continuously tracks your location in the background.

3. Information Collected Through Google Sign-In

You may sign in to 008Hub using Google Sign-In. When you choose this option, Google authenticates you and may share basic profile information with us, such as your name, email address, and profile information, subject to Google’s authentication process and the permissions you approve.

We use this information to create and manage your 008Hub account, recognise you when you return, keep your account secure, and contact you about the service where needed. We do not receive your Google account password.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

• Account creation and authentication, including Google Sign-In
• Providing rewards functionality, so customers can earn, view, and redeem rewards and businesses can run rewards programmes

• Showing relevant business promotions to customers who use the application
• Processing reward and redemption activity, including reward counts, balances, and completed redemptions
• Improving the application, including reliability, usability, and performance
• Customer support, so we can respond to questions and account requests

• Legal and regulatory compliance, including responding to lawful requests and keeping records we are required to keep

We may also use your contact details to send service messages, such as account, security, or support notices. Marketing messages are sent only where allowed, and you can opt out of marketing as described in the User Rights section.

5. Business and Promotional Content

Participating businesses may provide content for display in 008Hub, including:

• Coupons
• Promotional images
• Business descriptions
• Reward information
• Other marketing content the business chooses to publish

This content may be displayed to customers through the 008Hub application and website so they can discover the business and its promotions. Businesses are responsible for the content they upload and for having the rights needed to share it. Promotional content is intended to be visible to users of the service and is not treated as private account information.

6. Rewards and Customer Activity

To run digital rewards, coupons, and offers, 008Hub may process information about customer activity with participating businesses. Depending on the programme, this may include:

• Purchases or qualifying transactions
• Reward counts
• Cashback or reward balances
• Coupon usage
• Reward redemption
• Business visits or customer engagement, where the rewards programme uses that activity

This information is used to calculate eligible rewards, show balances, apply coupons and offers, and help the relevant business manage its programme. A participating business may receive activity information that relates to its own customers, offers, coupons, and rewards. We do not use this activity to sell your personal information.

7. How We Share Information

008Hub does not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share information in these situations:

• Participating businesses. When you engage with a business through 008Hub, we may share the information needed for that business to provide its rewards, offers, coupons, and related customer service.
• Trusted service providers. We may share information with providers that help us operate the application, including authentication, hosting, storage, analytics, security, communications, and similar services. They may use the information only to perform services for us and must protect it.
• Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, or legal process, or when we believe disclosure is needed to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, businesses, the public, or the service.
• Business changes. If 008Hub is involved in a merger, reorganisation, or transfer of the service, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Promotional content that a business publishes, such as offers, coupons, and images, is shared with users who view it in the application or on the website.

8. Third-Party Services

The application and website may rely on third-party services to function. These may include:

• Google Sign-In / Google authentication, when you choose to sign in with Google
• Firebase or a similar cloud service, where used to support authentication, data storage, or app infrastructure
• Cloud storage and hosting services used to store account data, business content, and promotional images
• Analytics or technical service providers, where used to understand performance, diagnose errors, and keep the service secure

Those providers process information on our instructions or under their own terms when you interact with them directly, such as when you use Google to sign in. We do not control third-party privacy practices. You should review the provider’s policy before using an optional sign-in method. A link to a third party does not mean every listed service is used in every version of the application.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The 008Hub website may use cookies and similar technologies that are needed for the site to work, to remember preferences, and to understand how the site is used. The mobile application may store information on your device, such as sign-in state or app settings, so the app can function between sessions.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you block cookies that the website needs, some pages may not work as expected. Device settings may also let you limit certain identifiers used by your phone. Essential sign-in and security functions may still store information required to keep your account working.

11. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide rewards, offers, coupons, and customer support. We may also keep information for a limited period afterwards where we need it to:

• complete a reward, redemption, or support request
• resolve disputes
• prevent fraud and protect the security of the service
• meet legal, accounting, or regulatory duties

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it. Promotional content may remain visible until the business removes it or the business account is closed. Copies in routine backups may remain for a limited time before they are overwritten. We may retain a minimal record of a deletion request so we can show that it was handled.

12. Children’s Privacy

The 008Hub application and website are not directed to children. The service is intended for businesses and for customers who are old enough to use a rewards and promotions service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental or legal authorisation.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to 008Hub, contact us at support@008hub.com. Where we learn that we have collected a child’s information without appropriate authorisation, we will delete it.

13. User Rights

Depending on applicable law, including UK data protection law, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete
• Deletion of your personal information, subject to the exceptions described in this policy
• Withdrawal of consent where we rely on your consent, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it

14. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your 008Hub account and the personal information associated with it by contacting us. Email support@008hub.com from the email address linked to your account with the subject line “Account deletion request”. Include your name and the email address or phone number on the account so we can identify it.

We will verify the request and then delete or anonymise the personal information associated with the account, unless we need to keep specific information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute reasons. Where UK data protection law applies, we aim to complete a verified request within one month, unless a permitted extension applies. We will tell you if we need more time or if we must retain particular information.

Deleting an account may remove access to reward balances, unused coupons, and offer activity stored in that account. Published business content may be removed when a business account is deleted. Information a participating business must keep for its own legal duties is controlled by that business.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the application, our practices, or the law. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date. Where a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice where required, such as a notice in the application or by email. Continued use of 008Hub after the updated policy takes effect means you acknowledge the update.
